We, FitReelix, take the protection of your personal data very seriously. This privacy policy informs you about what data we collect, process, and use in the context of our mobile app "DreamHypnos" (hereinafter "App"), and what rights you have in this regard.

2. What Data We Collect and Process

Data provided by you:

• Dream content: The texts and descriptions of your dreams you enter are the foundation of the app. These are processed locally on your device and on our servers for analysis.

Data from third-party providers:

• Purchase data: If you purchase a premium subscription or video credits, the transaction is processed via the Google Play Store. We receive a confirmation of the purchase from Google to unlock the corresponding features in the app, but no sensitive payment data such as your credit card number.

Automatically collected data:

• Location data: We request permission for your approximate location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION). This is used once at the time of the dream analysis to retrieve contextual data such as weather and geomagnetic activity and include it in the analysis. Your location is not permanently stored or tracked.
• Usage and analysis data: To improve our app, we use Firebase Analytics. This involves collecting anonymized data about your interactions with the app (e.g., features used, crash reports, device model, operating system version). This data does not allow any direct conclusions to be drawn about you as a person.
• Anonymous User ID: An anonymous user ID is created via Firebase Authentication on first use. This is used to associate your saved data (e.g., premium status, analysis quota) with your app profile without you having to provide personal information such as email or name.
• Push Notification Token: If you allow notifications, a token from Firebase Cloud Messaging is generated and linked to your anonymous user ID to send you notifications (e.g., about completed dream videos).
• Voice Input (optional): If you use the dictation feature (microphone icon) to enter your dream, the permission to record audio is required. The app accesses your operating system's speech-to-text service for this purpose. Your audio recording is only used for conversion into text and is neither stored by the DreamHypnos app nor sent to our servers.

3. What We Use Your Data For

Your data is used exclusively for the following purposes:

• To provide the app's features: In particular, for storing your dreams in the journal and for carrying out the AI-supported dream analysis and video creation.
• To personalize the analysis: To enrich your dream analyses with relevant environmental data (weather, moon phase, geomagnetic activity).
• To process purchases: To manage your premium status and your video credits.
• For communication: To inform you about important events, such as the completion of a dream video, via push notification.
• For app improvement and troubleshooting: By analyzing anonymized usage data, we can improve the stability and usability of the app.
• For app security: If you activate the biometric lock, the biometric feature is processed locally exclusively by your device's operating system. We do not have access to it.

4. Data Transfer to Third Parties

We only pass on your data to third parties if this is necessary to provide our services. This includes:

• Google (Firebase / Google Cloud): We use Google's infrastructure for backend services such as anonymous authentication, database (Firestore), cloud functions (for AI analysis and video creation), push notifications, and usage analysis. Your dream content is sent to Google's AI models for analysis.
• Google Play Store: For processing in-app purchases.
• Other services: For contextual data, we access the APIs of Open-Meteo (weather) and NOAA (geomagnetic activity). No personal user data is transmitted from you to these services. For the illustration of dreams, a search query is sent to the Pexels API.

5. Your Rights as a User

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to information, correction, deletion, and restriction of the processing of your personal data at any time.

6. Data Security

We take all reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy as needed. The most current version can be found in the app's settings.
